The College
was brought into
existence by the Caarmel Educational Trust, which is owned and managed
by the Believers Church headquarted at Thiruvalla, Kerala. His Grace,
Most. Rev. Dr. K.P. Yohannan, Metropolitan Bishop of the Believers
Church is the Chairman of the Trust as well as its patron. The
Believers Church has several educational institutions and churches
across the country through which several humanitarian schemes for the
downtrodden are carried out. The church is spearheading several
projects including additional higher learning centres and hospitals
bridging the
developmental voids in remote and backward areas.
The day to day
administration of the trust is by the Secretary, Dr. Daniel Johnson and
the treasurer, Dr. Siny Punnoose. The general administration of the
College and its campus is by the Director-Administration, Commodore
(Retd.) PAM Abraham, VSM, F.Ae.S.I., and administration of the College
and its academic matters by the Principal, Dr. Jobi V. Paul.

His Grace,
Most Rev. Dr.
K.P. Yohannan is the founder and president of Gospel for Asia, a
Christian mission organization based in Carrollton, Texas, and the
Metropolitan of Believers Church. Most Rev. Dr. K.P. Yohannan is also
the
Chairman of the Caarmel
Educational Trust. Metropolitan has authored more than 200 books
published in Asia and seven in the West, including Revolution in World
Missions, The Road to Reality and Touching Godliness through
Submission. The ‘Athmeeya Yatra’ (Spiritual Journey) radio program,
which is very familiar
to the people of Kerala, with the blessed messages of
Metropolitan
has enriched their day, for the past quarter of a century. This radio
program of the Believers Church, is broadcasted in
110 languages of Asia. Metropolitans weekly radio broadcast, "Road to
Reality,"
is heard over 500 radio stations throughout the USA, Canada, U.K., New Zealand
and Australia.

Commodore
(Retd.) PAM Abraham, VSM, F.Ae.S.I, is the Director - Administration of
Caarmel Engineering College. He is the recipient of the coveted Vishist
Seva Medal (VSM) from the President of India. He is a specialist in the
field of Mechanical, Marine and Aeronautical Engineering. He has
held various appointments, which include Squadron Air Engineer
Officer-Naval Air Squadrons, P.T.A Squadron Commander, Ships Air
Engineer Officer at INS Vikrant, Station Air Engineer Officer at Naval
Air station. He held various appointments in the Naval Aircraft Yard
including Asst Manager, Dy manager, Manager, Deputy Supdt, and
Commodore Supdt. He has also held various key positions including
Dy.Project
Director PTA Project at the Defence Research and Development
Organisation, Director of Naval Institute of Aeronautical Technology
and Chief Controller of Naval Aeronautical Quality Assurance
Organisation.

Dr.
Jobi V.
Paul (PhD, Civil Engg.), is the Principal of Caarmel Engineering
College. An alumni of IIT Madras, Dr. Jobi V. Paul has 32 years
of research and teaching experience. He has served in various positions
including Registrar of KAU, Head of the Department, Co-ordinator of
ABARD scheme, Unit Chief of Agro-Engineering Service Centre, Sr. Member
of several State Level technical committees, Academic committee member
of KAU and PI of 3 major EAPs. He was the Technical Member of CADA, KDA
and Rural Water Supply Scheme. He was also the Principal Investigator
of many Research projects. He has authored 40 papers and publications
in national and
International Journals.
